Armenian Contemporary Art Exhibition “Sunshine Roots” Opened at Wuhan’s Jianghan Road

At the initiative of Armenian Chinese Partnership Center, Armenian contemporary art exhibition “Sunshine Roots” was held from December 24, 2021 to February 26, 2022, at Jianghan Road. The purpose of the exhibition was to enhance Chinese art lovers’ understanding of Armenian art and promote the establishment of long-term friendly exchanges and cooperation between members of art community from both countries.

15 well-qualified and internationally renowned artists from Armenia showcased 25 wonderful original artworks of different styles and genres, e.g. traditional classical realism, symbolism, abstractionism, impressionism, expressionism, surrealism, modernism, landscape, portrait, still life, and etc.

Wuhan is the capital of China’s Hubei Province. It is one of the central cities in China, with a population of over eleven million. Jianghan Road, located in the Hankou District, Wuhan, is considered to be a building museum of the 20th century architecture in Wuhan. Jianghan Road has a history of over one hundred year, and it is one of the five most famous commercial streets in China.
