On May 31, 2022, Armenian Chinese Partnership Center, in cooperation with the Yerevan History Museum, organized The First China–Armenia Museums and Galleries Collaboration Forum. The forum was held online and aimed at giving a new impetus to the centuries-long cultural ties and cooperation between China-Armenia within the framework of Belt and Road Initiative.
The event was attended by representatives from the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Armenia, Binzhou University, as well as leading museums and galleries of the two countries.
Qi Peicheng, forum’s guest speaker, director of South Caucasus Research Center of Binzhou University, deputy secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee of World History, director of Ancient and Medieval World History and the honorary member of Armenian Chinese Partnership Center, introduced historical records on Armenia and China.
Afterwards, the participants presented thematic speeches, touching upon the role of museums in dissemination of culture and development of society, technological innovations in museums, exchanging explorations and practices on children’s, teenagers’ engagement in art and culture as well as other issues. Opportunities for cooperation between the museums of two countries were also discussed and highly prioritized.
