On August 4-20, the second Gyumri International Art Week Festival will kick off in Gyumri, Armenia. This annual event is a leading platform in the South Caucasus, reflecting the evolving contemporary art of Armenia. It aims to promote and disseminate universal and humanitarian ideas and values through contemporary art means and methods, establish creative ties and cooperate with similar organizations in Armenia and abroad.
Gyumri International Art Week showcases a wide range of contemporary art forms and expressions, including new media and virtual reality (VR), exhibitions featuring diverse artistic works, engaging performances, video art presentations, art installations, vibrant concerts, informative tours to art studios, art residencies held across various regions of Armenia, panel discussions on relevant topics, non-formal arts education programs, and more.
This year, Gyumri International Art Week will showcase synthesis and reevaluation of the application of innovative research models. The event aims to challenge and redefine the understanding of the modern human experience within the context of time, exploring the intersection of art, mathematics, religious perspectives and political palettes.
